Annaberg is an important Catholic place of pilgrimage. In the 30s was built a memorial for the fallen German Freikorps from the battles on Annaberg in 1921. The form was like an amphitheatre. One part oft the memorial was dismantled after 1945 and a monument for the Polish insurgents was erected on this area in 1955. The amphitheatre continued to be used for events.
